CIRQUE HOLIDAYS
WaterTower Theatre (Equity)
WaterTower Theatre, in partnership with Lone Star Circus, will celebrate the diversity of holidays from around the world through a magical collaboration of theatre and circus with Cirque Holidays! Featuring international stars alongside Dallas’ amazing and entertaining circus talent, audiences of all ages will be treated to incredible acts, ranging from hula-hoops to death defying trapeze stunts all tied together with a charismatic host and hilarious clowns. Forget your troubles this holiday season and get ready for a bright tomorrow!

CALISTA- child actor, age 9-14. Enters the show alone, without family or a sense of holiday wonder, but is soon swept up in the magic of the show and the holidays. We discover the wonder of the holiday season through Calista’s eyes as she meets circus performers from around the world, assists the ring master and becomes the star of the show. Must be comfortable commanding the stage on their own, improvising, interacting with the ring master or audience members & must sing very well in the style of the show. (Broadway pop/contemporary)
Rehearsals begin the week of November 25th, 2019. (no rehearsal on Thanksgiving Day) Performances run December 5-December 22, 2019. No conflicts please.

Fanny Kerwich (Artistic Director of Lone Star Circus), Shane Peterman (Producing Artistic Director of WTT) & Elizabeth Kensek (Associate Producer of WTT) will be in attendance at the audition.

WHAT TO PREPARE:
Actors should come prepared with a song to sing accapella in the style of the show a 32 bar cut of their choice (Broadway pop/contemporary without accompaniment). Actors will be asked to improvise or interact with the casting team to gauge their creativity & comfort level with improvisation.
Headshot and resume are required at the audition. ONLY Non-AEA roles are available. All roles are local hire. No housing or travel can be provided.
All Non- Union Actors will receive a stipend.
