WaterTower Theatre Presents Tennessee Williams’ American Classic A Streetcar Named Desire Directed by Terry Martin | March 26 – April 6, 2025
ADDISON, TX – WaterTower Theatre is proud to announce its highly anticipated production of A Streetcar Named Desire, Tennessee Williams’ most iconic and enduring masterpiece. Directed by renowned theatre veteran Terry Martin, former producing artistic director of WaterTower Theatre, this classic American drama will run from March 26 through April 6, 2025, at the Addison Theatre Centre.
Premiering on Broadway in 1947, A Streetcar Named Desire is a gripping exploration of human frailty, societal change, and psychological turmoil. The story follows Blanche DuBois, a once-glamorous Southern belle whose illusions of grandeur collide with the brutal reality of her new life in New Orleans. Seeking refuge with her sister, Stella, and her domineering husband, Stanley Kowalski, Blanche’s fragile psyche unravels in a powerful narrative of desire, delusion, and downfall. Williams’ timeless drama remains one of the most profound and captivating works in American theatre history.

At the helm of this production is Terry Martin, whose return to WaterTower Theatre brings an added layer of excitement and expertise to the production. Having led the Addison-based theatre for nearly two decades, Martin’s direction promises a fresh yet faithful approach to this emotionally charged masterpiece.
