Seeking Director of Audience and Benefactor Development

WaterTower Theatre (WTT) is now hiring a Director of Audience & Benefactor Development. WaterTower Theatre is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The successful candidate will need to pass a standard background check. Specific job duties may include, but are not limited to:


DUTIES:

  • Maintain and monitor online ticketing & development platform (Spektrix*)
  • Oversee Front of House Associates through the Box Office Supervisor
  • Oversee Box Office Supervisor to confirm scheduling of Front of House staff & ushers
  • Answer requests for general information from the public
  • Processing season and single ticket requests for WTT shows
  • Processing subscriber exchange/refund requests for WTT shows
  • Maintenance of the WTT general mail list
  • Processing of all box office and concessions deposits
  • Process all season ticket orders
  • Process all group sales and reservations
  • Attend marketing meetings
  • Attend all Performances & Fundraising Events
  • Work with Producing Artistic Director, prepare an annual Development plan to guide WTT towards meeting and exceeding established fundraising goals and budgets
  • Develop the current Individual Giving program to encourage deeper involvement and increased contributions from individual donors
  • Manage the investigation, identification, cultivation, solicitation, and acknowledgment of all corporate, foundation, and public donors, as well as in-kind product and service donors
  • Work with event committees and their leadership to achieve financially and visibly successful income-generating special events
  • Work with volunteer guild to guide their participation in and support of fundraising activities
  • Work together as a team to fulfill the artistic and administrative goals of the Theatre
  • Other duties as assigned

*Training on Spektrix Ticketing & Development Platform will be provided upon hire- familiarity
with this platform is beneficial but not required.


REPORTS TO: Producing Artistic Director
SUPERVISES: Box Office Supervisor & Front of House Staff/Volunteers


HOURS:

  • Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM (one remote workday per week)
  • Workdays/times will adjust to allow for attendance at productions (Wednesday through Sunday) & fundraising events
  • Weekly Hours not to exceed 40


MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree


SALARY RANGE: $37,500-$40,000 annual salary

SALARY SPLIT: 60% Front of House and 40% Development

Paid holidays, winter break, and 14 vacation days per year
Participation in the WTT benefits package
