WaterTower Theatre Announces WaterTower Summer Musicals at Dallas College Brookhaven Campus Starting Summer 2025 with School of Rock

Addison, TX – November 25, 2024 – WaterTower Theatre is proud to announce the debut of its brand-new program, WaterTower Summer Musicals, launching in Summer 2025 with its inaugural production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock. This exciting exploration into larger-scale professional musical theatre marks a significant milestone in WaterTower’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the arts. Presented at the state-of-the-art Dallas College Brookhaven Campus Theatre, this groundbreaking venture provides a fresh platform to explore new creative possibilities and engage with wider audiences in North Dallas.

The production, directed by JC Schuster with Alli Betsill as Associate Director and Choreographer and Cody Dry as Music Director, promises a high-energy celebration of music, discovery, and the transformative power of rock ‘n’ roll. Based on the Paramount movie by Mike White, with a book by Julian Fellowes, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and new music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, School of Rock follows Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star who poses as a substitute teacher and transforms his straight-A students into a mind-blowing rock band—all while navigating the challenges of keeping his antics under wraps. With a sensational live kids’ rock band and unforgettable tunes, this production is set to captivate audiences of all ages.
